Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Roy, a pharmacy professional, has received Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) in the years 2005 and 2007, respectively, from BIT, Mesra, Ranchi (Jharkhand), and Doctor of Philosophy (Medicinal Chemistry) from JNU, New Delhi (jointly with CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow, UP). After completing his Master’s degree, he worked for six months in the Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited, Ahmedabad. After finishing his Ph.D., Dr. Roy has gained multiple years of post-doctoral research experience of carrying out research in abroad (USA & South Korea). He pursued post-doctoral studies for a year (2012-2013) in the Dept. of Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences, Ewha W. University, Seoul (South Korea), and for three years (2013 – 2016) in the School of Pharmacy, Dept. of Bimolecular Sciences, The University of Mississippi, MS, USA. Afterwards, he came back to India, and joined the position of Assistant Professor in the year 2016 in the Department of Pharmacoinformatics at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Kolkata, WB. In the month of September 2020, Dr. Roy switched to a higher position as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, School of Pharmaceutical Technology, Adamas University, WB. He is currently interested in designing and discovering new candidate drugs to cope up with the emerging instances of drug resistance among various types of infectious diseases and cancers, and also interested in using bioinformatics tools to gain molecular level of understanding of structure-function of biomolecules of therapeutic interests. As recognition of his research activities, he has more than 30 peer-reviewed publications in journals of international repute, and has been granted three international patents. He has participated and/or presented his research in several national and international conferences. He has received multiple funding from various sources.
