For celebration of World Pharmacist Day on September 25, 2019 in School of Pharmaceutical Technology, Adamas University organized a seminar in accordance with the theme of the day “Safe and effective medicines for all”. The seminar was planned with an objective to promote quality improvement and efficacious medicine in order to meet the highest purity standard recommended globally. In the inaugural session, Prof. Rajat Ray, Dean, SOPT highlighted the crucial role of pharmacists in healthcare in today’s world. He also claimed that, to maintain the highest quality of medicine, pharmacists are always committed to the society with their sophisticated analytical skills as well as deeper insight in the healthcare sector. In the seminar Mr. Rohit Ojha, Application Scientist, Agilent Technology shared his knowledge on Chromatography, especially High Performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) which is believed to be one of the best analytical techniques for quality evaluation of drugs till date. He discussed on the various aspects of chromatographic techniques in quality control of medicine and other related aspects in drug development process. The seminar was appreciated by a huge audience comprising of students, researchers & faculty members to aid their day to day research and academic assignments. The program ended with a vote of thanks by H.O.D. Dr. Sajal Kumar Jha.
