The School of Pharmaceutical Technology is one of the best and finest in Kolkata and Eastern India. Study Specialized and New Generation Programs
The School of Pharmaceutical Technology, Adamas University offers four year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), designed to impart knowledge and skills necessary to build a strong healthcare system matching with the global trend and serve the community. The School aims at creation and dissemination of knowledge for producing quality health care professionals with global standard to cater the growing demands in the country and abroad. Graduate programme in pharmaceutical technology is covered in 8 semesters and entails theoretical, practical, project work and assignments spread over all 8 semesters. The curriculum and syllabi for the course are as per Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) the statutory body governing pharmacy profession in India.
The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) is an undergraduate program to be offered by the School of Pharmaceutical Technology, Adamas University, Kolkata.
BMLT is an allied health specialty that deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease through the use of clinical laboratory tests. Although medical laboratory technologists spend less time with patients than doctors and nurses do, medical laboratory professionals are equally dedicated to patient health. The fact is that the efficacy of practice of modern medicine is heavily dependent on the detection processes through laboratory tests of specimen of patients and it would be impossible now to detect a disease without laboratory tests.
D. Pharm. is a two-year diploma course in Pharmacy for practising as a registered Pharmacist in India. On completion of the course the students gain the basic knowledge of preparation, dispensing, drug actions and therapeutic uses of synthetic and herbal drugs. The course provides opportunities to work as Hospital Pharmacist/Drug Store Officer in goverment and private hospitals. Other job opportunities include Drug Analist in Goverment sector, Project Assistants in various State/Central Govt. Schemes, Marketing Executive/ Production Operators in Pharmaceutical Companies and as Laboratory Technician in Govt./Private Institutions. D. pharm candidates can also persue higher education through lateral entry to 2nd year B.Pharm course.

Internship and Placement
The role of Career Developmental Cell is to assess students to measure their abilities, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills and helping them to identify development needs in advance. Students go through the counselling session to profile their strengths and weaknesses at the dawn of his/her professional career. CDC also contact corporates for internships and placement opportunities.

Prof. (Dr.) Rajat Ray
Prof. (Dr.) Rajat Ray, an alumnus of Jadavpur University from where he obtained his Graduation, Post-Graduation and Doctoral degrees, has joined Adamas University as a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology in April 2016. Prof. Ray is a recognized Pharmaceutical Scientist and Academic Administrator with combined 36+ years experience. He took a training in Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Ghent Belgium on a Belgian Government scholarship. Skilled at teaching Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Engineering and giving leadership to grow institutes offering courses in Pharmacy, Prof Ray carries out research on Development of Multi-Unit Drug Delivery System with modified biopolymer. He has authored and co-authored number of research articles published in national and international journal of repute.

In current year 6 students are placed already (in alembic marketing), from B. pharma and from D. pharma 8 students placed in lifeline pharmaceuticals. Teachers are well educated & knowledgeable. University arrange seminars on regularly basis. It is a green campus and surroundings are really beautiful.

The course provides full knowledge on pharmaceutical sector. Placement cell is very good. All the students got Internship at Sikkim in the companies like Cipla, Glenmark, Alkem, Microlabs, Sun pharma. Teachers here are like true Mentors and are highly qualified and skilled. After doing D. pharma I opted to study B. pharma from Adamas University.
